A man simply referred to as Tobi Aremu has been remanded in prison custody by an Ado-Ekiti chief magistrate court on Thursday, September 22, over an alleged rape of a five-year-old girl.
As indicated by Vanguard, the police prosecutor, Sergeant Bankole Olasunkanmi told the court that the respondent conferred the offense on the said date at Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti.
He said: "Aremu polluted a 5-year-old young lady on Thursday, September 22 at Efon-Alaaye - Ekiti state. This offense contradicted Section 218 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012."
The cop educated the court that he had sent the charged man's case record to the workplace of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for lawful counsel.
