It took only 87 days for a city minister to deny his marriage and ask his pregnant spouse to leave for good.
Missionary Kenneth Kiarie, 30, of God's Covenant Holiness Church in Mihang'o, Kayole in Nairobi, told The Nairobian that he swiftly wedded Marion Wagitu, 23, "on the grounds that being a minister, I required a spouse authoritatively wedded in chapel."
The two began to look all starry eyed at when Marion went to his congregation in June a year ago and the minister found in Marion a 'humble rustic young lady.'
After two months, Kiarie went by her folks in Murang'a to request her hand in marriage. By December, the minister had asked for a wedding. It was conceded and they were married in April this year.
Minister Kiarie is said to have acquired cash to back their wedding which has now abandoned him owing debtors.
In any case, now, the minister is being blamed for tossing out his recently married spouse for what are suspected as arrangements to wed another lady.
Indeed, even before the special night was over, their marriage hit the stones at some point in July, with both sides indicating blaming fingers at each other.
"He used to let me know that in the event that I cleared out, I would not get a spouse, and that he had scores of lovely young ladies staying nearby him," says Marion, who has since been supposedly tossed out of the conjugal home and is currently back at her Murang'a town.
Marion says he wedded Kiarie on the grounds that he is a minister, yet their marriage has been an uneven one, with Kiarie professedly censuring her for the declining assemblage numbers and tithe sums in his congregation, as a result of her odd practices all through the congregation.
"He points the finger at me over a Sh70,000 obligation he brought about to subsidize the wedding. He asserted I tossed hot tea and stove at him and endeavored to beat him before his folks," says Marion, including that the godly man frequently left her with Sh5 for cooking oil on grounds that she was a villager.
Kiarie swore for the sake of God that the allegations were false. He rather blames Marion for crushing their marriage through her unusual conduct, hostile words, endeavor to strike him before companions and blood relations and blaming him for treachery.
"Really, that was the third time I pursued her and it has now been effective. She needed to control me yet that is not African. I said we preferably isolate than have one of us dead," he clarifies.
