Police Arrest Suspected Militants With Explosive Devices In Akwa Ibom (Photo)

Three suspected militants have been capture by the Police in Akwa Ibom State with high-control bombs equipped for sinking any boat, watercraft, or wrecking structures or pipelines, thekillerpunch.com reports.

The State Commissioner of Police, Murtala Mani, who paraded them on Friday at the state Police Headquarters, Ikot Akpan-abia, said the suspects were captured on August 18, 2016, through an insight report.

Mani who advised newsmen on the advancement through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Command, Cordelia Nwawe, said the suspects were captured at Moden City Hotel in Eket nearby government zone of the state.

The State Police supervisor gave the names of the suspected militants as Nelson Seimiyefa, matured 34, from Bayelsa state, Victor Emmanuel Williams, matured 34, from Etinan nearby government zone of Akwa Ibom and Nseobong Dickson, matured 38, from Eket neighborhood government region likewise of Akwa Ibom State.

Mani said bombs recuperated from the suspected militants included two high-control IED bombs measuring 60/80.5 cm and 44/5.5 cm individually; and one long single high-power impel launcher bomb measuring 78/4.55cm.
