Exposed: It Was PDP That Asked Me To Share State Money –Oserheimen Osunbor

– Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor urged prominent members of the PDP to defect to the APC

– He described the PDP as an evil party

– The former governor accused the party of trying to force him to loot state fund

The former governor of Edo state, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor has lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for trying to force him to distribute state fund to members of the party. Vanguard reports that Osunbor made this allegation at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Iruekpen, Esan West local government area ahead of the September 10 governorship election in the state.

The former governor who has defected to the APC said the PDP declared him disloyal to the party after he failed to loot state fund and described it as an evil party. He said the interest of the PDP only resides in distributing state fund to its members and not the development of the state. Osunbor said the party was like a sinking ship which was why prominent persons were defecting from the party to other ones.

He said: Evil people have hijacked the PDP; the party is a sinking ship, which is why I have told my people to act like the former president, Obasanjo, by tearing their PDP membership cards.

I have told them to join the party that is interested in their welfare and the overall development of the state.

PDP has no interest in what becomes of the state and the people, but their pockets. “This was why they said I was not loyal because I refused to share the money meant to develop the state while I was the governor. That was why they started fighting me.

The PDP, whether at the local, state or federal level can’t do anything for us, it is only the APC that can make us a proud people through development.

Mr Godwin Obaseki who is the gubernatorial candidate of the APC said the Edo people deserve a great person as their governor and he was in the best position to govern the state.

He also promised to not only continue with the projects of the Adams Oshiomhole government, but to take it to another level through job creation and human empowerment.

The former governor contested for the gubernatorial ticket of the APC after he defected from the PDP but lost to Obaseki
